Ledile Textile and Fibre Processing (Pty) Ltd is building more than a textile company. We are developing a platform for industrialisation, agricultural development, sustainable manufacturing and commercialisation.
Ledile has progressed beyond the conceptual stage and has undertaken practical development work demonstrating the potential of hemp fibre for textile applications. The company's proof-of-concept programme has focused on converting hemp fibre into yarn and subsequently developing woven and knitted textile materials.

Product development for garment applications
Ledile Textile and Fibre Processing (Pty) Ltd is a South African textile and fibre-processing company focused on developing and commercialising sustainable natural-fibre solutions, with a particular focus on industrial hemp for textile and industrial applications.
Ledile's objective is to establish a commercially viable and scalable farm-to-fibre-to-textile value chain, connecting South African agricultural production with fibre processing, yarn manufacturing, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing and garment manufacturing.
Our approach is centred on developing local processing capability and creating a platform through which South African farmers can participate directly in the growing sustainable fibre and textile economy.

A fundamental component of Ledile's strategy is the development of a sustainable agricultural supply base. We aim to work with farmers and farming communities to establish a structured hemp production system linked directly to downstream industrial demand. Rather than developing agriculture independently from manufacturing
